Tell us about your company.
I am an independent, licensed health insurance agent. There is zero cost to you to using an agent to help with health insurance, and zero obligation. I specialize in Medicare and love to help folks get the care that works for their needs and budget.
What made you decide to choose this field or industry?
I have worked in senior care for over 12 years and am personally committed to ensuring that every single one of my clients has access to the best health care for them. There are so many choices to make when picking a Medicare plan, and with me as your agent and advocate, we can make sure to avoid pitfalls and will find resources for you that you might not have known about without me.
What is the most interesting part of your business?
Although Medicare does its best to keep me on my toes by making changes every year, my clients are by far the most interesting part of my business. I truly enjoy building relationships and serving my community.
What do you wish you knew starting out, or what would you have done differently?
I would have been less shy when attending Chamber Events and spoken with more people more quickly.
What are you most proud of?
I'm proud of my attention to detail, my knowledge of the industry, and my ability to expertly guide my clients.
Tell us something we would not know about you.
Everyone wants to know how tall I am. I'm 6'1". Yes, I played basketball - for Rancho Bernardo High School! - fitness is still a passion of mine.
What keeps you inspired and motivated?
I had the honor of caring for other people's parents at their most fragile. I now want my own parents and each of my clients to have access to the best possible health care so that they can maximize their years of joy and activity.
When and why did you join the Poway Chamber of Commerce?
As a Poway/Penasquitos/Rancho Bernardo native, I would have thought I'd be well connected here, but there are so many new people and new businesses to get to know. The Chamber has been a wonderful way to connect.
What would you tell someone who is considering joining the Poway Chamber?
That it is a lively, active community based organization. The events are fun, the networking is great... it's like the frosting on the community cake. It's sweet and holds us all together.
What has been your favorite part of being a member of the Poway Chamber of Commerce?
The monthly mixers are a fun night out.
