CHAMBER COMMITTEES
The Poway Chamber of Commerce has four standing committees that meet on a regular basis to help various aspects of the Chamber! To learn more about each Committee, click on the tabs below to expand the information. There are also various ad-hoc committees that help plan for special events throughout the year, listed below.
The new Member Services Committee combines the efforts of the former Ambassadors Committee and Marketing Committee. Member Services committee members belong to sub-committees with a variety of focuses, including welcoming new members, outreach to non-member businesses, connecting with inactive members, attending ribbon cuttings, Open Houses, and other events to serve as Chamber representatives, promoting Chamber events to members and the community, etc.

The Government Affairs Committee provides input and recommendations to the Poway Chamber Board of Directors on local, state and federal governmental issues. Monitors legislation and governmental decisions impacting the business community in the region and conducts candidate forums.
Meets every “odd” month (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov) on the fourth Wednesday at 11:45am. Visit the Events Calendar for more information.

The Education Committee connects the business community, K-12, Community Colleges and University leaders to share resources and knowledge to better educate our chamber members. Strive to foster a diverse platform of educational & training opportunities that are relevant to members and business owners.

CHAMBER SPECIALTY GROUPS
The Poway Chamber of Commerce is excited to introduce our new Specialty Groups, which meet monthly to foster networking, collaboration, and growth among local business leaders. These groups are designed to create valuable connections, share industry insights, and support business development in a more focused, intimate setting. The Non-Profit Group works to encourage and promote non-profit involvement for Chamber members, and to unite Poway-area non-profits and charities with the Chamber and its members. This group hosts a monthly Non-Profit Meet & Greet open to all Chamber members & guests.

The WomenPros Plus Networking Group is focused on women in the business community, but open to all Chamber members, including men. Through networking events, professional development opportunities, and community-building activities, the WomenPros Plus Networking Group seeks to cultivate an atmosphere of mutual support and growth for all business leaders.

The Senior Services Group supports the Chamber's mission to build and strengthen relationships for members and the business community by providing leadership, education, advocacy, and networking for those serving our older population. Overall, this group's goal is to contribute to our community and business growth by supporting our members in connecting with and serving our older adult demographic.
