We invite you to invest in Poway's future:
Poway Community Leadership Institute (PCLI) was the outcome of the collaboration between the City of Poway, the Poway Chamber of Commerce and the Poway Unified School District. The purpose of the PCLI is to prepare our future Poway leaders to serve on boards, committees, and be active community leaders in the Poway area. It is also designed to instill a strong sense of personal civic responsibility in our leaders. Institute experience will enhance leadership skills of the participants through the entire process.
We invite your company to be a sponsor of this new and exciting program. Your name will appear in all of the promotional materials and would help insure a bright future for Poway.
Participants will meet from 8 am to 12:30 pm once a month starting with a full day orientation in October and culminating with a graduation in June. In October, the group will participate in a full- day event filled with activities and exercises designed to challenge the individual and establish relationships that will extend beyond the program experience.
From November to May sessions will focus on targeted topics and issues impacting our community and how our participants can use their leadership skills in positions of influence in the community. Sessions will be held at different location sites each month, relevant to the topic of discussion for the day. Participants will benefit by discussions and activities including Poway's top business and civic leaders.
Topics to be presented include: Economic Growth and Business Development, Government and Government Services, Health Care, Education, Regional Issues, Redevelopment and Land Use, Nonprofit Organizations, and the Arts. The cost will be $500.00 per participant.
