Legislative advocacy is an important function of the Poway Chamber of Commerce. If you are interested in government affairs, the Poway Chamber encourages you to join the Government Affairs Committee, which meets at 8:00 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every “odd” month (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov) at the Chamber office.
The Government Affairs Committee provides input and recommendations to the Poway Chamber Board of Directors on local, state and federal governmental issues, monitors legislation and governmental decisions impacting the business community in the region and conducts candidate forums.
Elected officials and their representatives attend the bi-monthly meetings, giving our members an opportunity to voice their concerns in an informal setting.
