Committees

The Poway Chamber of Commerce has five standing committees that meet on a regular basis to help various aspects of the Chamber! To learn more about each Committee, click on the tabs below to expand the information. There are also various ad-hoc committees that help plan for special events throughout the year, listed below.

CHAMBER COMMITTEES

The new Member Services Committee combines the efforts of the former Ambassadors Committee and Marketing Committee. Member Services committee members belong to sub-committees with a variety of focuses, including welcoming new members, outreach to non-member businesses, connecting with inactive members, attending ribbon cuttings, Open Houses, and other events to serve as Chamber representatives, promoting Chamber events to members and the community, etc.

Meets the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm at rotating locations to be announced.

The Government Affairs Committee provides input and recommendations to the Poway Chamber Board of Directors on local, state and federal governmental issues. Monitors legislation and governmental decisions impacting the business community in the region and conducts candidate forums.

Meets every “odd” month (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov) on the fourth Wednesday at 8:00 am

The Education Committee connects the business community, K-12, Community Colleges and University leaders to share resources and knowledge to better educate our chamber members. Strive to foster a diverse platform of educational & training opportunities that are relevant to members and business owners.

The Non-Profit Committee works to encourage and promote non-profit involvement for Chamber members, and to unite Poway-area non-profits and charities with the Chamber and its members. This committee hosts a monthly Non-Profit Meet & Greet open to all Chamber members & guests. Visit the Events Calendar for more information.
